Halloween Special Effects Part 2!

The best part about Halloween is stocking up on all the fake blood and color wheels!  All throughout the year I'll do gorey things with my Halloween supplies.  Here are some of the pictures I've done through the past year!  Be warned, they are a little nasty.  And, yes.. all of these makeup special effects were done by me and only me!

Here I make it look as if my hand was ripped up and bone showing through.  The skin around the 'exposed' part of the bone really ties it together. : )

Here, I made the illusion that my mouth was stitched up! This took sooo long to do, and I couldn't talk/eat/drink the whole time and it was pretty miserable!  I actually done this for a contest, and I won!

All I done with this one was put tape and fake blood on my mouth!  I did my usual black makeup and made it run to look as if I was crying.  I'm laying on my bathtub and I poured fake blood down the side to give it a extra creepy look.

This is the last picture I have of just doing gore on myself.  All I done here was give the bruised, dead look.  I would really wear this makeup out in public way before Halloween if no one would stare at me, haha!

Halloween Special Effects.

This is suppose to look like boils and blisters, but I had to improvise last minute and use googley eyes instead of a gelatin mix.  My wonderful boyfriend is always my test dummy when it comes to this kind of stuff.  The next picture is him as well.

This was the first wound I ever done.  This was a test for a zombie film we were making.  I really love the bruising around the sides and how it looks like its peeling.

Influenster!

At the beginning of this year I came across Influenster.  Its this awesome website that you earn badges based on your interests.  The badges you earn give you a chance to be selected for a VoxBox!  A VoxBox is a free box of items sent right to your door for you to try out.  I know what you're thinking.. a website sending stuff for free?  Whats the catch?  There isn't one!  The only thing you are asked to do is give a review of the products sent.. either via blog post, video review, etc.  Just a review on a public networking site where your friends can see!

Right after I signed up, I was selected for the first VoxBox after my sign up.  I was pretty lucky with that selection, as not everyone is chosen for each VoxBox.  My review over the VoxBox is on my other blog (which I no longer use) and I will be taking that post and bringing it over here really soon!  Even though it was from the summer, I still want to show how awesome Influenster is and proof that its a legitimate site! Don't get down if you aren't selected for a while, it will take some time and not everyone is guaranteed for one (thats the sucky part).  Either way, selected or not, its a good website to learn about new products and hear reviews from people who have tested them!

Go ahead and head on over and sign up.. its a fun website and they've just recently revamped the whole site, and it looks much better, in my opinion.  The link is down below.

21 Week Belly Bump!

I reached my 21 week pregnancy mark on Sunday!  Unfortunately, I spent a night in the hospital with some cramping and spotting just a few days after that.  The baby is fine, and so I am!  I'm so thankful nothing was wrong.  Anyways, here is my baby bump picture for this week!

I custom made the black shirt I'm wearing.  Its a cutout skull, and as you can tell it barely fits anymore!

Fall is Here!!

My favorite season of the year is fall/autumn.. whatever you want to call it.   I love the crunch of the leaves under my feet as I walk, I love seeing the pumpkins on porches and in store windows, I really love everything about this season.

I'm not a professional photographer, although I would love to become one.. but here are a few of my shots as fall brings its beautiful face around.
